Tonja Woodward Tucker writes stories for readers who never quite fit the fairytale.

She believes in loyalty over glory, quiet rebellion, and the kind of strength that doesn’t need to be loud to be life-changing.

Tonja lives in the heart of the Colorado mountains with her husband and dog, where she’s most at home among wildflowers, winding trails, and the kind of stillness that lets stories bloom. When she’s not writing, you can find her exploring the wilderness, dreaming up strong and stubborn heroines, or lost in a book that reminds her why she started.

Lily the Plain is her debut young adult novel — a love letter to the ones who’ve been called too plain, too much, or not enough… and who choose to rise anyway.
